Tankless Water Heater

The Pros and Cons of a Tankless Water Heater

As their name suggests a tankless water heater is a device that heats the water in a home or business and doesn’t require the large cylindrical water tank to be present. These tankless water heaters have a number of pros and cons to them, and they are listed below.

The pros entail a number of different aspects. By not having a tank of water they take up less space for starters, allowing them to be installed on the outside of homes or buildings or in very small spaces, where actual water heaters require a much larger space. A tankless water heater also won’t leak as much water or break and spill everywhere, essentially flooding the room it is in if it does break.

The cons of tankless water heaters entail the price—they are generally much more expensive than water heaters with a massive tank. They also require someone who is trained in installing them, as opposed to the other water heaters, so the technician or plumber you hire needs to know what they are doing.
